Pricing is determined by the diamond and the setting. Because every diamond is unique, pricing will vary based on its gemological characteristics (including color, clarity, cut, and carat weight) as well as the relationship with the manufacturing partner.
If you are looking to compare the price of a specific diamond across different settings, simply share the diamond SKU# and your preferred ring design(s) with our Client Care team, and we’d be happy to assist you.
Our diamond feed only features stones that meet our strict quality standards. If you are unable to find what you are looking for, we invite you to contact our Client Care team for assistance.
If you are interested in a different center stone cut shape that is not available on our website, please contact our Client Care team for further assistance.
We do not provide pricing or services for diamonds that have not been selected from our virtual diamond feed.
Gemstones are exclusive to our Signature Stone® feature. We do not currently offer gemstones in Jean Dousset jewelry designs otherwise.
We can help you find your perfect fit with our Ring Sizer.
CAN YOU GO PAST A SIZE 10+ ON LADIES’ RINGS?
Yes, we offer additional sizes for women (up to 10.5 or 11, depending on the design) for an additional $250 + tax. Contact Us for assistance.
If you are looking for a higher setting, we recommend our Kate design, the highest-set engagement ring in our collection. If you have a specific example in mind, our Client Care team will be happy to review it to determine whether it can be created within the Jean Dousset design DNA.
We offer wedding bands designed to complement the style of your engagement ring for a cohesive set. However, like many luxury jewelers, we do not create bands that sit fully flush. Leaving a small space between the two rings helps prevent the metal and prongs from wearing against each other, reduces the risk of pavé diamonds loosening, and allows your engagement ring to sit lower for secure, comfortable everyday wear.
Yes, we can customize this upon request. Please contact our Client Care team for assistance. Please note that we do not offer resizing on eternity set bands to maintain the integrity of the ring.
We offer complimentary laser engravings on our engagement rings and wedding bands at the time of purchase. We recommend laser engravings with 20 characters or fewer. Custom engravings are also available for an additional fee. Please contact our Client Care team to assist with custom engraving requests.
All engravings are done in our signature Cambon Medium font (shown below).
Made-to-order engagement rings take approximately 3 to 6 weeks from purchase to delivery, depending on the complexity, so we can ensure your ring is absolutely perfect. Please review the details within each product page for approximate timelines.
In-stock engagement rings ship the 2nd business day via insured 2-day shipping. If you have an urgent timeline in mind, Contact Us in advance so we can work to accommodate your request.
We offer one complimentary resizing for engagement rings and non-eternity bands only. This service is available within the first six (6) months of delivery and within ¾ up or down from the original size to maintain the integrity of the ring. *Any additional resizing will be subject to a charge.
For purchases and deliveries within the U.S., we offer complimentary (insured and secure) round-trip return shipping along with the professional cleaning and inspection of your ring. Please Contact Us for assistance with resizing.
Please save your original packaging and send it back to us in its original, secure packaging to ensure no damage is done during transit. We are not responsible for damage caused in transit back to us, so it is very important to properly package the ring.
*Please note: eternity-set bands (rings set with diamonds all the way around the band) cannot be resized to maintain the integrity of the ring.
All Jean Dousset diamonds are lab-grown, never mined. Our center stones are cultivated with advanced technology in controlled environments, ensuring they are responsibly created and free from the environmental and ethical concerns tied to traditional mining. Learn more about our lab diamonds.
All of our lab diamond engagement rings with a center stone of 1.00 carat or larger are GIA certified. GIA certificates are included with each lab diamond engagement ring purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, our pink and yellow diamond center stones are not GIA certified. Currently, most colored diamonds are IGI certified. Please review individual products for certification details or reach out to us for guidance.
We invite you to explore our Lab-Grown Diamonds page for more details on how we select our diamonds.
Our jewelry exclusively features colorless, VS+ clarity lab-grown accent diamonds and pavé (depending on style) to ensure the best quality and brilliance.
Exclusive to Jean Dousset, the Signature Stone® is a secret “hidden stone” placed underneath the center stone, visible only to those you choose to share it with. The Signature Stone® is not visible through your diamond, nor will it impact the color or beauty of your diamond.
If you have a specific request not available on our website, please Contact Us for further assistance.
We stand by the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. Jean Dousset offers a complimentary lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects on all engagement rings and jewelry pieces. This warranty includes any quality issues that arise only from a manufacturing defect.
This warranty does not cover issues that arise from general wear and tear, misuse, and negligence, including but not limited to: scratches, discoloration due to any chemical contact, warped metal, dents, misshapen bands, lost stones, or cracked stones. Lost or stolen pieces are also not covered by this warranty. Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than Jean Dousset will void the warranty.
To enhance your coverage beyond our warranty, we now offer the Dousset Protection Plan, an optional extended plan designed to protect your jewelry against accidental damage from everyday wear. This includes additional services such as:
- Rhodium plating, polishing, and refinishing
- Diamond and gemstone resetting
- Repair of broken prongs, clasps, earring posts, and chain soldering
- Repair or replacement of damaged stones (including center stones) up to a value of $50,000
Please note that loss or theft, natural diamond pieces and international orders are not covered under the Dousset Protection Plan. For full protection against theft or loss, we recommend purchasing a separate jewelry insurance policy through your provider of choice.
If you believe your piece has a defect or are interested in purchasing the Dousset Protection Plan, please Contact Us to get started.
Jean Dousset’s Engagement Ring Upgrade program is available to clients who have previously purchased a Jean Dousset lab-grown diamond engagement ring.
Program Eligibility Details:
- Only the original diamond ring purchaser or their significant other on the account can request the trade-in
- To be eligible, your center stone diamond must be lab-grown, smaller than four (4) carats, and in its original condition. You must also provide your original order number and original purchaser information
- Any damage to the original diamond will disqualify the diamond upgrade
- Upon inspection of your diamond, you will receive a Jean Dousset credit up to 100% of the original purchase price of your lab-grown diamond engagement ring
*Note: The credit is non-transferable and does not include the price of tax.
How The Program Works:
When trading in a Jean Dousset lab-grown diamond engagement ring, the entire credit must be applied towards the purchase of a new Jean Dousset lab-grown diamond engagement ring that is at least 50% greater in total retail value. For example, if you purchased your original engagement ring for $10,000, your total upgraded ring value must be at least $15,000.
*Note: Upgraded engagement rings are final sale and are not eligible for return.
For purchases and deliveries within the U.S., we offer complimentary (insured and secure) round-trip shipping
Whether it's for your first anniversary or your tenth, our Jean Dousset Ring Upgrade program offers the flexibility to upgrade your engagement ring. If you are interested in upgrading your lab-grown diamond engagement ring, please contact our Client Care team. We can’t wait to assist you!
Jean Dousset pieces do not include an independent appraisal. However, most insurance providers accept your receipt as sufficient documentation for coverage.
Your engagement ring will arrive in our signature blue Jean Dousset gift box, which includes the diamond certificate, cleaning cloth, Perfecting Foam cleaner, a light-up engagement ring box, and your one-of-a-kind engagement ring.

Care & Warranty
We recommend cleaning your ring daily using our Perfecting Foam to maintain its brilliance. For a deeper clean, you can also use a small, in-home ultrasonic cleaner. To order more Perfecting Foam, please Contact Us.
Our easy-to-use Perfecting Foam is made from 100% natural botanicals
For a light cleaning, we recommend using the Perfecting Foam cleaner once a day and an in-home ultrasonic cleaner once a week. For a deeper cleaning, we suggest having your ring professionally cleaned at our workshop once a year. Please contact our Client Care team if you're interested in a professional cleaning.
Our pieces are created for everyday wear, but we recommend removing your ring/band during workouts, household chores, or any other strenuous activity to avoid scratching or damaging your jewelry.
Diamonds are naturally lipophilic, meaning they attract oils and dirt from everyday wear. We recommend cleaning your jewelry regularly using our Perfecting Foam to maintain its brilliance.
For diamond engagement rings, we recommend a professional inspection and cleaning once a year. During this visit, our jewelers will thoroughly inspect your setting, tighten any loose stones, clean your ring, and perform a light polish to minimize superficial scratches and maintain its shine.
If you are interested in sending your Jean Dousset piece in for care, this service is available for $180, which includes insured, secured, and complimentary round-trip shipping within the US. For assistance coordinating your shipment, please contact our Client Care team.
Our in-house team provides a range of professional services to help maintain the beauty and integrity of your jewelry. These include thorough inspections, expert polishing, and rhodium plating when needed. Service rates are outlined below:
- Annual Inspection + Cleaning - $180
- Jewelry Polishing Service - $180
- Jewelry Resizing Service - $180
- Minor Repair (*pavé replacement, loose center stone, etc.) - $180+
- Major Repair - Quoted upon assessment
- Laser Engraving - $180+
If you’d like to move forward with an inspection, repair, or cleaning, please Contact Us for assistance with complimentary round-trip shipping (within the US). You may also schedule a virtual or showroom appointment for help with your shipment.
For repairs, our workshop will conduct a detailed inspection and provide a quote via email. Once you approve the estimate and payment is received, our artisans will begin the repair.
Should you choose to decline the repair, we’ll return your jewelry to you with no work performed.
Your Jean Dousset jewelry can be personalized by engraving a name, a date, or a message on the precious metal of your choice (up to 20 characters).
Each jewelry creation is unique and often symbolizes an emotion, an occasion, or a memory dear to the person who wears it. We offer this personalized engraving service to ensure that this moment remains with you forever.
The engraving of your choice is undertaken with respect to the technical and aesthetic specifications of the piece. Laser engraving is offered complimentary for our engagement ring and wedding band designs at the time of purchase. 20 characters or fewer is preferred for laser engraving. Please contact our Client Care team to assist with custom engraving requests.
A careful adjustment to your engagement ring ensures that it fits perfectly and with the greatest of comfort. Our master jewelers apply their technical expertise to finely adjust your engagement ring.
Your engagement ring should fit snugly but comfortably. It should slide on easily, but you should have to pull or twist a little to get it off. If your ring is uncomfortably tight or it slides off with no resistance at all, your ring should be sized.
If you notice the stone moves from one side of your finger to another, we suggest adding half-moon sizing beads inside the band. It will decrease the ring by approximately a quarter of a size (- ¼). Sizing beads are also used to address issues like the spinning/flipping side-to-side (common with a large diamond) or having larger knuckles.
Fingers can shrink or bloat for many reasons, many of them temporary, like cold weather, salt intake, pregnancy, or weight loss. We highly recommend limiting the frequency of sizing your ring, since every resizing negatively affects the strength of the metal and integrity of the ring.
Your first resizing for engagement rings only is complimentary within the first 6 months of delivery and within ¾ up or down from the original size, to maintain the integrity of the ring. Shipping both ways is also complimentary for purchases and deliveries within the U.S.
If you notice that your center stone is loose, we recommend that you stop wearing your ring. Contact Us so we can provide secured, insured shipping back to our team, where your ring will be inspected and the prongs tightened.
If you notice a missing pavé on your ring, please contact our Client Care team so we may assist you.
If your diamond ring suffers a shock or hit, or if you see any signs of damage, you should refrain from wearing it until you have had it examined by our team.
Our experts will take care of your jewelry, carefully inspecting the stone(s), setting, and aesthetic details. After our team evaluates the necessary service, you’ll receive an estimate. Once you approve and payment is received, the service will be completed promptly and shipped back to you at no cost.

Lab Diamonds
Yes, lab-created diamonds will test positive on a diamond tester. Although grown in a lab rather than in the earth’s crust, lab diamonds have the same chemical and optical properties as mined diamonds.
Expert gemologists cannot distinguish between the two with the naked eye. A lab diamond can only be distinguished from mined diamonds using specialized equipment that can detect the minor differences in trace elements and crystal growth.
Lab diamonds are chemically and optically the same as mined diamonds. The only difference is its origin.
No. Moissanite is a distinct gemstone, characterized by a unique chemical makeup, appearance, and hardness. Lab-grown diamonds share the same structure and durability as mined diamonds, whereas moissanite does not.
We do not use moissanite in any of our jewelry or engagement rings.
Lab-grown diamonds are created by replicating the natural conditions of extreme heat and pressure that form diamonds in the earth, but within a controlled environment. Growth begins with a tiny fragment of an existing diamond, known as a seed, which acts as the foundation for new growth. There are two primary methods:
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition): A diamond seed is placed in a chamber filled with carbon-rich gas. With the right temperature and pressure, carbon layers build on the seed, forming a diamond crystal.
HPHT (High Pressure High Intensity): Carbon is exposed to intense pressure and heat that mimics the Earth’s mantle, allowing the carbon to crystallize around the seed into a diamond. Both methods produce real diamonds with the same composition and brilliance as mined diamonds.
Type IIa diamonds are considered the most chemically pure, with exceptional optical transparency, and make up less than 2% of naturally occurring diamonds.
All of our lab-grown diamonds are Type IIa, offered in D-H color grading.
Jean Dousset diamonds are meticulously curated by our master jewelers, featuring only the finest, precision-cut diamonds chosen for their superior quality and unrivaled brilliance.
Please review individual products for details, or Contact Us for guidance.
All Jean Dousset diamonds are lab-grown, never mined. Our center stones are cultivated with advanced technology in controlled environments, ensuring they are responsibly created and free from the environmental and ethical concerns tied to traditional mining. Learn more about our lab diamonds.
Yes. Like mined diamonds, the market value of lab-grown diamonds can fluctuate over time. Because they are a newer category, pricing trends are still evolving and may be less predictable than natural diamonds—but their beauty, durability, and authenticity remain the same.
We value your ability to choose what matters most to you. When it comes to your diamond engagement ring, we encourage you to select the diamond that makes the most sense for your budget and preferences. We will always provide exceptional quality engagement rings and stones, regardless of whether that stone is grown in a lab.
Jean Dousset exclusively uses lab-grown diamonds and lab diamond pavé throughout all engagement rings and jewelry collections.
Our engagement rings are exclusively crafted with lab diamond center stones selected from our digital diamond feed. Our engagement ring and jewelry designs exclusively feature colorless, VS+ clarity lab-grown accent diamonds and pavé (depending on style) to ensure the best quality and brilliance. The only natural stones we may use in our designs are gemstones featured in our Signature Stone® if a lab diamond is not selected.
Our diamond specialists carefully curate each diamond in our feed, selecting only the finest stones for their beauty, cut quality, and overall “make.” This ensures you see the very best options available across every shape, color, clarity, and carat weight. When exploring made-to-order engagement rings on our site, you’ll be able to choose from this exclusive selection to personalize your design and view its final price.
If you are unable to find what you're looking for, we encourage you to Contact Us, and we'd be happy to assist you.
The cut refers to how a diamond interacts with light. Jean Dousset exclusively works with expert diamond cutters to identify diamonds with the best cut
Color evaluation is based on the absence of color in white diamonds. The closer a diamond is to being colorless, the higher its grade and value.
Clarity measures the presence of internal or external imperfections, known as inclusions and blemishes. Our diamond feed exclusively offers GIA-graded diamonds with VS+ clarity.
Carat measures the weight of a diamond, not its size. This is why some cut shapes may appear larger than others, even with the same or smaller carat weight.
Just like a mined diamond, lab diamond rings can be insured. We recommend purchasing a separate jewelry insurance policy through your provider of choice. If you’re looking for added protection, learn more about what’s covered in our Dousset Protection Plan.
