Lab-grown diamonds are not generally associated with human labor issues. Since they are created in controlled lab environments, there is a significant reduction in the risk of labor abuses, which are concerns prevalent in certain areas of diamond mining.

Lab diamonds can be easily traced back to their place of origin since they are created in specific, known facilities. This ensures that they do not come from conflict zones or areas with unethical mining practices. In contrast, the origins of mined diamonds are often difficult to trace, making it challenging to guarantee they are conflict-free.

Gold is a unique element in that it does not degrade over time. It’s a highly recyclable material that can be melted, refined, and reused without any loss in quality or purity.

The use of recycled precious metals significantly reduces the environmental impact, energy consumption, and demand for new mining, thus conserving finite resources and promoting ethical practices in the industry.

Recycled precious metals are indistinguishable from those of their newly mined counterparts. Jewelry made from recycled metals will look and last just as long as those made from new metals.

We took a comprehensive look when considering the various factors that contribute to our carbon footprint. To neutralize our carbon emissions, calculations included:

• The carbon footprint per carat of each lab diamond
• Average carat size per order
• Total carats per month
• Total carbon footprint per year
• Total carat weight of all diamonds sold within the last year
• KWH used annually at headquarters (calculated per sqft per year)
• Air miles traveled per year
• A generous estimate of shipped packages, including weight and travel miles

Our packaging utilizes a variety of sustainable materials, including recycled paper and a matt varnish finish for durability without using plastic lamination. We have opted for vegan leather pouches with embossed logos (instead of printed,) which are packaged in 100% recyclable PLA bags. Bio ink was used for the only printing displayed on our packaging in an ongoing effort to minimize our impact.
